    We loved it.

We loved it. We had a third night booked a little further north and my wife wanted to cancel and stay here. We've been going to the Central Coast around Cambria/Moonstone Beach to celebrate our Anniversary in November. It exceeded my expectations. This is our new go to spot. We enjoyed several beaches and trails. I don't think you can go wrong stopping at any of the ocean access points. We had dinner at Luna Trattoria in Mendocino and it was about as close to perfect as we've experienced in a restaurant in years!

Great little spot with private access and deck /sitting area. Corner unit with view of ocean and garden. Bed was comfy, and space overall was cozy and well appointed. Would definitely stay here again. Good value compared with others in the area. Loved it!

We stayed at the SCP Mendocino Inn which was a nice and charming place, but still in need of some renovation in the Farm House where we stayed- That is where the view rooms are. Too expensive for what it was, but friendly altogether. The room with a view was a bit of a joke, view only visible if you sat down as the windows were so low. or alternatively you had to crawl out onto a very flimsy balcony through a window. I doubt that we were given the two room "suite" that we believe we had ordered, but the Inn has not responded to that yet. As the inn had no restaurant we ate at the nearby little River Inn restaurant. Their bar has great views, the food is quite good and the service is friendly. We had dinner there twice and were not disappointed.

The Little River Inn has a great view as well as location.

The Little River Inn has a great view as well as location. The staff is gracious and helpful. Sitting on the balcony watching the ocean was heaven! We also really walking down a path to the sea. The room could benefit from better lighting, but the biggest problem was the mattress and pillow. Both major fails. Hard as rocks. I called the desk after the 1st sleepless night and managed to trade out the pillows for softer down pillows. Huge difference! I would definitely request a comfortable mattress!

Sea Foam Lodge is located nearby beaches and the precious coastline. We dined north a few miles north at Frankie's (located in Mendocino on Lansing Street) outside with our two little chihuahuas. My husband was happy that Frankie's offered many vegetarian options on their menu. We enjoyed the Dechutes IPA beer paired with the falafel platter. While exploring Mendocino, we found a surf and skate shop, Coast E Bike Co., where Scott assisted me to find a unique hat along with some gifts to send to my surfer brother. The rooms at Sea Foam Lodge are recently remodeled clean rooms. The grounds are well kept with flowering pollenating plants and trees. We slept in a soft queen bed with lots of fluffy pillows. In the bathroom, there were lots of fluffy towels and toiletries (but did not have any dental products - may want to inquire at front desk if needed). Although it appeared that every guest had one or two dogs, it was surprisingly quiet. The deck overlooked the Frisbee Golf, the future bocce ball court (work in progress) and nearby Pacific Ocean waves. Continental breakfast served in the morning from 8 to 10. It's easy to navigate around Little River because the town is along the coastal Hwy 101. Just use caution driving due to the winding roads in addition to avoid being distracted by the beauty of the ocean and the surroundings. We found it worth the cost of the stay at Sea Foam Lodge appropriate. It is because we have stayed at inexpensive locations before and could not relax due to the inconsiderate guests and inferior cleanliness, quality and environment. Here is a place that we will look forward to our return with our dogs and bring our relatives. Hopefully by then, the bocce ball court will be ready.

Majic and unspoiled area around the coast.

Majic and unspoiled area around the coast. Many hidden accommodations with fantastic views. Great food in local restaurants. Clean and safe roads, no trash or garbage to be seen anywhere (to contrary of Bay Area). Many exciting activities for nature and sport lovers, they are not obvious, so you have to plan and look for it in advance when planning your trip.

I absolutely loved this stay. Cure rooms. Beautiful property. Even a view of the ocean from the porch in front of our room. I very much enjoyed the cute decor and the old, vintage craft stuff in our room. Also, THE GOATS. They were so friendly and wonderful to visit with. I got to feed then some carrots I brought. The hot tub was was so pleasant and in a tree covered area making super private. The staff was also very nice and friendly. I will be back.

The location above the Pacific on the splendid Mendocino Coast deserves a spectacular room and property. Unfortunately, Heritage House is no longer up to that standard.
